"We're all for developing alternative energy sources for conservation, environmental and national security reasons, and biofuels have an important role to play. But corn-based ethanol is playing a less significant role than expected on the environmental front and has become a major driver in escalating food prices.
Easing the ethanol requirement could ease family budgets. Congress needs to act now."
